【Starting date】
Training - Right away (see under “Requirements”)
Officially starting on a contract – April 24, 2026 at the latest

【Job details】
・Teaching English to ESL students
・Private and very small group lessons
・Preparing for classes based on the school curriculum and teaching materials

【Wage】Part-time contract
2,500 yen per teaching hour
(2,200 yen per teaching hour during the trial period of up to three months. Hourly wages are negotiable based on your experience.)
3,000 yen per teaching hour for the Wednesday night class

1,141 yen per office work hours
(10 minutes of office wage is added per class.)
5,000 yen per school event such as Halloween and Christmas parties

Teachers are expected to prepare their lessons in advance.

【Requirements】
・Native or near-native English proficiency
・Currently reside in an area within 35 minutes of JR Kawaguchi Station
・Holds a valid visa to work in Japan
・Can commit to at least 1.5 years but preferably longer
・1+ year of teaching experience
・Can follow school curricula
・Friendly and responsible personality

Up to 30 hours of training, based on your learning speed, teaching skills, and the amount of students you are willing to teach, is required before officially starting. You will be paid an office wage of 1,141 yen per hour during the training, and the total amount will be added to your first payment only upon completion of the whole planned training sessions and signing the contract.

【Available Hours】
Applicants may choose from the following time slots:
*Please note that Teachers are required to come at least 30-60 minutes prior to the start of the lesson (depending on the class load) in order to prepare.
*Working only one day per week is acceptable, as long as you can take a minimum of two classes per day.

● Friday (Weekly)

• 16:20-17:20 Elementary school students
  17:30-18:20 Elementary school students
  19:30-20:00 University student
  20:20-21:00 Intermediate adults

● Wednesday (Up to 3 times a month)

• 4:00pm-4:30pm Private adult class
• 4:55pm-5:40pm Private elementary school student
• 5:50pm-6:35pm Private business class
• 7:00pm-8:30pm Group of 10 elderly ←The pay for this class is 4,500yen. You may take only this one too.

*Please note that the schedule above is not final, and class time may be subject to change upon discussion, so please be sure to specify your availability when you submit your application.

Holidays:
All Mondays and most National Holidays are closed.
